Irish Soda Bread Baking Workshop

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, learn how to make your own Irish Soda Bread at Historic Richmond Town! Join Historical Interpreters who will explain the history and origins of this classic quick bread, and make your own loaf to take home! This workshop will be held in the Guyon-Lake-Tysen House in the main village, where bread will be baked in a Dutch Oven. The purchase of a ticket includes the ingredients and kitchen space to make a personal-sized Irish Soda Bread.


Know Before You Go

  • This workshop will involve working near an open flame and is not recommended for those under the age of 7.

  • Participants will check in at the 3rd County Courthouse Visitor Center, and will be directed to the Guyon-Lake-Tysen House for the workshop.

  • This is an exclusive program with limited ticket availability. All ticket sales are final, non-transferrable, and non-refundable.

  • All events and programs are rain or shine and no refunds will be given due to weather conditions. No exceptions.

  • In the event of event or program cancellation on part of Historic Richmond Town, a full refund will be issued within 5 business days to your original form of payment.
